How many scores can I post for free?

The free version allows up to 20 score posts. Upgrade to a Premium membership to post unlimited scores.

When does my Handicap Index appear?

Your Handicap Index unlocks after posting at least 54 holes — equivalent to three full 18-hole rounds. 9-hole rounds count toward the total when combined.

Can golfers view their scores on their own phone?

Yes. Each golfer uses their own copy of the app and manages their own scores. To share scores across a group, see the Handicap For Group app in Settings → Other Apps.

How do I move data to a new device?

Back up on your current device (Settings → Backup & Restore Scores), then sign in on the new device and restore. Works across iPhone, iPad, and Android. See the full guide for step-by-step instructions.

Will my subscription carry over after reinstalling?

Yes — just open Settings → Membership and the app checks your subscription status automatically. No manual action needed on iOS. On Android, sign in with the same Google Play account.

Do you have a GPS rangefinder for use on the course?

That's a separate app — ForeFun Golf GPS (forefungolfgps.com) gives you front, center, and back yardages, AI green contour maps, and full Apple Watch support on iPhone and Android. Many golfers use both apps together.

Is this an official USGA or R&A handicap?

No. Golf Handicap Tracker & Scores is neither sponsored nor endorsed by USGA or R&A and does not provide an official USGA or R&A handicap index. It is designed for recreational golfers who want WHS-style calculations for personal tracking. For a detailed breakdown of the differences, see our Golf Handicap Tracker vs GHIN comparison guide.

What devices are supported?

iPhone and iPad (iOS 16+), Mac (Apple Silicon M1 and later), Apple Vision Pro, and Android (Android 5.0+). The iOS app is 9.4 MB.

Can I use this app for a whole golf group?

This app is built for individual golfers. For managing a full league or group — tee sheets, publish & share scores, group handicap — see Golf League Handicap Tracker (golfleaguehandicap.com).
